Hello

My fascination with drama started early. I joined local drama groups when I was six and loved every minute of it.

In sixth form, I really caught the bug. From Greek tragedies to playing Danny Zuko in Grease, my passion for performing only grew, leading me to study BA (hons) Performing Arts at the University of Chichester.

​

Alongside my sixth form and University studies, I joined The Young Wick - part of the Wick Theatre Company in Southwick - where I was honoured to receive the “Most Promising Potential Professional” award. After university, I continued performing through amateur dramatics, co-directing Rent: The Musical and appearing in several local productions.

Life happened and my drama had to take a back seat to work, family, etc. In some respect I continued 'performing' as a Primary School Teacher - standing up in front of a class and teaching/entertaining! 

 

In more recent times, I returned to the Wick Theatre Company stage in The Ghost Train and was instantly reminded why I love performing so much. Productions like that are brilliant - there’s nothing quite like the teamwork, the energy and the buzz of show week.

 

But they do require a huge time commitment, and that’s not always possible for everyone - even me.

I began to wonder: Is there a space where people could enjoy the fun and creativity of drama without the pressure of a full-scale production? No scripts to memorise, no blocking rehearsals — just pure, playful performance?

​

I also noted how bloomin' talented everyone was, even at an amatuer level. I also wondered: Is there a place where new-to-drama adults can go and try it out? Auditioning and jumping into a show could be daunting - are there those wjho would just like to let off some creative steam... like me?

​

And so, the Unrehearsables was born - a drama group for anyone who loves to act, play and express themselves, but wants to do it simply for the joy of it. A safe space with giggles, creativity & to boost confidence as well as meet new, like-minded people in the local community.

​
